All MWAM staff and volunteers practice MWAM's core values of teamwork, compassion, safety, transparency, honesty, responsibility, inclusivity, accountability, creativity, and generosity.

The Minis With a Mission (MWAM) rescued donkeys live at a private barn, Bucko's Barn, in Newbury, MA where they are lovingly cared for by our volunteers and are in regular training for our community programs.

 

Those wanting closer contact with our donkeys are encouraged to contact us. Our volunteer program brings volunteers to the barn to learn to safely care for, handle, and train our donkeys. In doing so, we also build a friendly and supportive network of like-minded individuals to make our mission meaningful and fun.

 

Volunteers can also help support the myriad tasks necessary for MWAM's success such as grant writing, fundraising, networking, social media, and barn maintenance and repairs.

 

Prior horse or donkey experience is not required. We will train all volunteers as safety is essential for all.  We guarantee you will receive more in happy donkey snuggles and being part of our amazing MWAM family of volunteers than you give!
